Archival Collections
Since 1972, the Historical Museum has been collecting archival documents and photographs pertaining to Bonner County. In 2004, a project was begun to create a database of the museum’s object and photographic collections. The archive currently has five workstations with this database available to researchers on site.
Recently begun in the spring of 2010, museum staff and volunteers have undertaken a multi-year project to add the museum’s archival documents and records to the database and to create a basic index of these collections that will be available to researchers at the museum and online.
Volunteers are currently working on indexes of the genealogical, oral history, newspaper, and photograph collections. These will be posted online as they are created and updated.
