Bald Eagle
In the early 1900s, local resident August Fox killed and mounted three that were nesting on his property (located in the Seneacquoteen area along the Pend Oreille River). This piece was hung in his guest room. Imagine having this watch over you as you sleep - the faint at heart would likely never stay more than a night.
Because of the date when the eagle was shot, and donated to the museum, we are legally allowed to preserve, and display the item.
