Selle Grange Sign
The Selle Grange No. 313 located in the rural community northeast of Sandpoint was organized on June 14, 1932. The Selle Grange and its members were instrumental in starting a R.E.A. (Rural Electrification Administration) program in Bonner County in 1935.
The Selle Grange supported the war effort during World War II with a War Bond Drive and a Scrap Iron Drive. The grange has sponsored Red Cross training programs as well as been engaged in many projects for the good of the Selle Community - including weed control, land clearing, and road sign projects. Selle Grange has provided a community center for the area and its hall has been used for, and is still used for, youth recreational activities, school programs, 4-H club work, elections, Sunday School and church services, ladies club meetings, and many other activities.
